ERP Built for
Wood Processing & Timber Manufacturing
Generic ERP systems weren't designed for sawmills or timber processors. Matadoo Timber adds the logic your industry actually needs — reverse BoM, rendement-based costing, and TWL dimensions — directly inside Odoo.
One log in. Multiple planks, offcuts, and waste out. Finally an ERP that understands your production flow.
The Problem
Standard ERP Was Built for Manufacturing, Not Wood Processing
In conventional manufacturing, a Bill of Materials (BoM) works in one direction: combine multiple raw materials to produce one finished good. That logic works for assembling furniture. It does not work for a sawmill.
Wood processing runs in reverse. A single raw material — one log — enters the sawmill and produces multiple outputs: planks of different grades, offcuts, sawdust, and waste. The ratio between these outputs (called rendement or yield) determines your true cost of goods sold.
Standard ERP can't handle this. You either force-fit a workaround that breaks your COGS, or you maintain a separate spreadsheet system alongside your ERP — defeating the purpose of having an integrated system.
The same problem appears with product dimensions. Timber products are identified by Thickness × Width × Length (TWL). Generic ERP treats dimensions as attributes or variants — making stock management, pricing, and traceability unnecessarily complex.
Matadoo Timber solves these problems at the data model level — not with workarounds.
Standard ERP BoM
Many inputs → one output. Simple assembly logic. Doesn't fit timber.
Matadoo Timber BoM
1 input → multiple outputs with rendement ratios. This is how wood processing actually works.
What Makes It Different
Seven Capabilities Standard ERP Doesn't Have
Reverse BoM (1 → Many)
Model one log producing multiple output products. Each output gets its own rendement ratio, grade, and cost allocation — no workarounds needed.
Rendement-Based COGS
Cost of goods sold is automatically distributed across all outputs based on their yield ratios. Grade A planks carry more cost than offcuts — and the system calculates this correctly.
TWL Product Dimensions
Thickness × Width × Length is a first-class field, not an attribute hack. Stock moves, pricing rules, and reports all work natively with timber dimensions.
Dual Currency Rates
Maintain both the BI rate (Bank Indonesia, for financial reporting) and the DJP rate (for tax and customs documents) — because timber businesses often need both in the same transaction.
Production Flow Tracking
Track each log from receipt through sawing, drying, grading, and dispatch. Know your actual yield versus planned rendement at every stage.
Grade-Based Pricing
Plank grades (FJ, select, common, utility) each carry their own pricing and valuation rules. The system enforces this automatically across sales orders and invoices.
Forest & Customs Compliance
Built-in support for SVLK (timber legality verification) documentation, customs HS codes, and forest origin tracing — critical for export-oriented operations.
